Diolaze
Tired of shaving, plucking, or waxing? Do you get razor bumps or acne-like breakouts when you get rid of unwanted hair? If so, you may want to consider laser hair removal.
DIOLAZE is an advanced, laser hair removal procedure that safely and gently eliminates unwanted hair. The combination of efficacy, patient comfort and speed makes Diolaze the leader in laser hair removal. Diolaze’s large treatment spot size makes sessions fast and convenient. It is powerful enough to target and treat even the most stubborn hair.
How does it feel?
Many patients say that the laser pulses feel like warm pinpricks or a rubber band being snapped against the skin. Diolaze features simultaneous 3PC (pre, parallel and post cooling) technology making it more comfortable.
Is it permanent?
After finishing the treatments, most patients do not see any hair on the treated skin for several months or even years. When the hair regrows, there tends to be less of it, it is finer and lighter in color, and will likely be less noticeable. Most patients remain hair free for months or even years. To keep the area free of hair, a patient may need maintenance laser treatments.
Do’s and don’t’s:
In preparation and during laser hair removal, you should not pluck, wax, or have electrolysis because the pigment in the hair follicles absorbs the highly concentrated light from the laser, heats up the root of the hair, which in turn prevents future hair growth. This is why laser hair removal works best for patients with dark-colored, coarse hair. When the root is temporarily removed by waxing or plucking, the follicle is not present. Shaving during treatments is ok and should be done prior to each session. Sun exposure should be avoided for six weeks before and after treatment. Sun exposure makes laser hair removal less effective and makes complications after treatment more likely.
How many sessions do I need?
Hair is reduced with each treatment and results are observed after four to six sessions. The number of sessions will differ depending on your hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone.
How long are sessions?
The length of your treatment depends on the size of the area being treated and if topical numbing medicine is used. Numbing cream can be applied 20- 30 minutes before the laser procedure to help with the sting of the laser pulses. Treating the upper lip takes minutes. If you are having a large area like the back or legs treated, your treatment may last more than an hour. Sessions should be performed once every 4 to 6 weeks.
Is there any downtime?
No, laser hair removal generally does not require any real downtime. Immediately after having laser hair removal, your treated skin will be red and swollen. This often looks like mild sunburn. Applying a cool compress can help reduce your discomfort. Despite this, most people return to their everyday activities.
Laser hair removal is more than just ”zapping” unwanted hair. It is a medical procedure that requires training to perform and carries potential risks. Before getting laser hair removal, you should thoroughly check the provider’s credentials.
