What does IPL do?
IPL treatment uses intense wavelengths of light to remove age spots, sun damage, freckles, birthmarks, and superficial vascular lesions (such as broken capillaries). It can be used on many different areas of the body for blotchy, discolored skin. It is also used to treat acne, rosacea, and stimulates the skin to naturally regenerate while boosting collagen production. IPL uses light energy to target a certain color in your skin. Treatment results include a smoother skin tone, healthier complexion, and less visible sun damage.
When will I start to see improvement in my skin?
Improvement is most noticeable about a week after each treatment.
In some cases, it may take sup to several weeks for you to notice any changes in your skin.
You will see the greatest results are seen after 3 to 6 months.
How often can I have IPL treatments?
Depending on the severity of skin issues, some patients may need more than one IPL treatment.
Series of treatments should be spaced out about 4 weeks between each visit.
How should I prepare prior to treatments?
Avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds, waxing, and drugs that increase the risk of bleeding.
What should I do after an IPL treatment?
–Use mild cleansers and moisturizers daily on your skin.
–Apply a sunscreen with a minimum of 30 SPF to protect your skin from UVB and UVA rays.
–Stay out of the sun for at least 2 weeks after each treatment.

Repeated IPL photofacials encourage the skin to shed and renew its outer layer, a process that gradually eliminates scar tissue.
